| |   | 2009 Award Winners Wednesday, May 13, 2009
Congratulations to Kyle Bir and Amanda Gerber, the winners of this years Henry E. Thornburg and Marjorie Crutcher Award. Kyle's dedication to practice, his constant desire to improve and his ability to get along with others over 4 years highlighted his career. Amanda led a great percentage of the fund-raising efforts in the 2008-09 year as well as fighting through wrist injuries. Their dedication to the team regardless of their personal goals or their ability to bowl is the definition of the type of athlete these awards are meant for.
Previous winners for the Marjorie Crutcher award were Cassy Bayerle (2006), Becca Jones (2007), Theresa Schwiermann and Katie Wadell (2008). Previous winners for the Henry E.Thornburg award were Jeff Lindo (2006), Chris Polito (2007), and Arty Masterson (2008).
The awards, named after team founder Michael Crutcher's mother and funded by Michael Crutcher, and Coach Dug Barker's grandfather and funded by the grandchildren of Mr. Thornburg, is awarded every year to the bowler who best exemplifies teamwork regardless of their ability to bowl | |   | Best Finish YET Wednesday, April 29, 2009
